I really enjoyed working with my patient today. She was kind and so funny. I felt bad for constantly going up to her to check up on her abdominal pain among other things, but at the same time I think she enjoyed the fact that I was spoiling her. The poor lady’s bed was in the hallway (one of the flaws of funding for our healthcare system), therefore lacked the privacy along with less attention cause the nurses are so bogged down with 4-5 other patients. So, trying to keep assessments and other things private was a bit tricky. Nonetheless, a great experience. I discharged her today and before she left she gave me a hug and said she hopes to see me soon.

This is what makes the stress of nursing school worth it. Appreciated.
